With a bit closer in regarding to location, no wonder if till now, it has been decades that we, the Australian people, like to spend our holiday in this little beauty of Indonesia, which is Bali Island. Even though it seems quite small, Bali Island has numerous wonderful things to offer. Located at about 1000 miles to the north coast of Australia, traveling to Bali from Australia is considered easy as tourists will not need to obtain visas before traveling as it can be done on Bali’s airport, and even more, the world’s tourism destination status that Bali has, makes every entry procedure is quite smooth.

However, the bombing blast couple of years ago had made a huge change of world’s traveling rules. There were times that some countries set a rule to ban its citizens for traveling there. Nowadays time, it has been cleared that Bali has been recovered and declared as a safe place to visit. Even so, some certain rules still have to be obeyed in the name of respecting other cultures and their country’s rules. These points below are the travel guides to Bali special for those who are registered as Australian citizens.

1. Travel documents are the most things you should prepare well before the departure. Especially for all Australian travelers, they must own passports that expire no later than six month, counted from the day of your departure to Bali.

2. From the event that happened in 2009, even until now, the warning is still given in relating of the high threat on terrorist attack, thus, it is advised to have a high degree of caution and personal safety. Make sure that your travel and contact detail are all registered in the Australian Embassy just for emergency case, it will make the government easy to track and take care of you. Besides, as it had happened, the target of terrorist operation is around some nightlife sites like bars, nightclub, restaurants, thus, be wise in choosing the places you want to visit.

3. Not only for terrorist attack, but also for other possibly harm things like narcotics cases, protests or demonstrations that can turn into violent, scam or credit card/ATM fraud.

4. Gambling is illegal in Indonesia, so you have to be more careful in any practical of gambling fraud. The target of fraud is mostly a solo traveler.

6. Indonesia is also becoming a subject to range of natural disasters, including volcanoes, earthquakes, tsunami and floods, thus, it is recommended to pay deeply attention towards its local emergency procedures as well as its disasters’ warning. Besides, it is recommended for all Australian travelers to have a full medical insurance, just in case, if you have to encounter with local virus or diseases.

7. Visa can be handled by the time you touch down on Bali’s airport. It is valid for only a month and can be extended up to the additional 30 more days.
